This is my first time stepping into the world as a writer and just saying that out loud feels a little surreal. For the longest time, I’ve carried stories in my mind like folded letters in a pocket, waiting for the right moment to open them. Umbrellas & Other Stories is my attempt at doing just that unfolding them, one by one.
I’m not sure what led you here a recommendation, a random scroll, or simple curiosity but I’m so glad you arrived. These stories aren’t loud or dramatic. They’re soft, emotional, a little introspective. They hold quiet moments, unsaid words, and small feelings that often go unnoticed in the chaos of daily life.
I write under the name writteninrain — because for me, writing often feels like rainfall: sudden, gentle, sometimes heavy, sometimes healing.
As a new writer, I don’t know what comes next but I do know this: if even one story stays with you, or a line makes you pause and feel something… that’s enough for me.
